The Sun & Steel Clear-Span Red Iron Building comes in three models to suit the most demanding industrial and commercial applications. All models feature our massive hot-rolled structural I-beam rigid frames, finished in a factory-applied red oxide primer to prevent corrosion. This architecture provides 100% clear-span space—up to 100 feet wide—with no internal support columns to interrupt your workflow, heavy machinery, or inventory storage.
The Standard Model delivers proven commercial performance with 20-foot bay spacing and high-tensile 26-gauge PBR (Purlin Bearing Rib) roof and wall panels—reliable and built to outperform in typical industrial settings. The Heavy Model pushes further with upgraded web and flange thicknesses on the primary frames, heavy-duty secondary Z-purlins, and a 24-gauge standing seam roof—engineered for heavy crane loads, extreme ground snow accumulation, and severe hurricane-force winds.
