What does PSF mean for your structure?

<10 PSF — Light as a dusting. Minimal load; virtually any structure handles this. 10–20 PSF — Moderate snowfall. Standard structural steel manages comfortably. 20–35 PSF — Heavy accumulation. Reinforced framing becomes important. 35–50 PSF — Serious load. Commercial-grade steel & closer purlin spacing required. 50–80 PSF — Near-mountain conditions.
